The Spring Blackwater Bluegrass Festival the Most Successful Yet
Festival owner George Deavours got a little help from his friends with the May 2004 Festival which helped it become the most successful festival to date. The campsites were booked and the crowd was very good. The talent has the people who attended buzzing. Rollin in the Hay set the crowd on fire on Friday night. The rest of the acts were top notch too.
The Fall Blackwater Bluegrass Festival will be on October 8th and 9th and the artists are currently being booked. Already the festival has booked Meridian and Continental Divide. Check back frequently to get the lineup
Make sure you book the campsite early because as this festival grows in popularity, the campsites on the Blackwater River will go very quickly.

Campers are encouraged to host something at their campsites to let people see what Bluegrass is all about. Many of the folks who attend bluegrass festivals spend much of their time behind the scene at various campsites picking. It has been said that oftentimes the best music of the festivals is between stage performances around campfires.
The fall show will be on October 8th and 9th.
Hope to see you at both festivals.
